Waytk! I’m Mike Christian and I’m running for Splatsin Kukpi7 in the upcoming election, taking place Monday, January 22, 2024.
Our nation has suffered from recent events over the past year, and it’s time for a strong, trustworthy leader to right the canoe so that we may move forward together and achieve success.
As Splatsin Kukpi7, I will ensure that our nation is united and that all our members receive what they need to thrive. This includes greater employment and career development opportunities, more reliable infrastructure, and improved health services, education opportunities, and childcare services.
About Mike
Mike Christian is one of ten siblings of Delphinia (Delpine) Christian.
His grandfather is Alec Christian (Aleksis/Siyups) and his grandmother is Emily Duteau (McNeil). Mike’s great grandfather is Christian Dominick and his great grandmother is Annie Haskett (On).
Mike is also a proud Uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Mike is a seasoned and trustworthy leader who possesses many years of working on and successfully delivering important initiatives for Splatsin and the Secwepemc Nation.
Mike was invited to present the meaning of the Secwepemc Nation flag to an audience of Indigenous Peoples from around the world at a conference in Alta, Norway.
