A seasoned and hardworking leader whose dedication to the Splatsin community spans decades, Mike has previous experience leading the Splatsin people as Kukpi7 from 1999-2001. This term in office left an indelible mark, characterized by a tireless commitment to the well-being and prosperity of Splatsin. As the community once again stands at a crossroads, Mike Christian’s candidacy symbolizes experience, resilience, and a steadfast vision for a thriving Splatsin Nation.
Accomplishments
Mike Christian’s leadership and many accomplishments have become synonymous with progress and community empowerment. Throughout his career, Mike has spearheaded initiatives that have fostered economic development, educational opportunities, and cultural preservation across the Secwépemc Nation and within the Splatsin Area of Responsibility.

• Professional experience as a Manager. General Manager, & CEO
• Red Seal Carpenter
• Consistently strong advocate of Title & Rights.
• Contributed to the existing UNDRIP document via the Alta Outcome document process.
• Active mentor for IT and Carpentry students
• Hold an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, several IT industry certifications, and a Provincial Instructor’s Diploma.
• Previous Manager of Splatsin’s Economic Development and Previous Splatsin Lands Manager.
• Owner & operator of MSC-ICT Training & Consulting since 2006.
• Assisted Splatsin Administration with establishing Spatsin as a Financial Authority and as a Tax Authority.
• Successfully negotiated the Splatsin Community Fund with BC Hydro.
